About Us
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to provide a challenging and positive environment in which players can learn and develop their Lacrosse fundamentals. While promoting leadership, good sportsmanship, teamwork and fostering their love of the game of Lacrosse.
Our amazing coaches will develop and prepare players to compete at the next level. We emphasize hard work, commitment, and the drive necessary for your athletes to achieve their potential. And have the best time possible making new friends!
Our Board
Davis Lacrosse holds monthly board meetings on the second Wednesday of the month. Active members in good standing of Davis Lacrosse are welcome to attend board meetings. Please contact the board Secretary to confirm the meeting time and location.
We have positions opening this year and next for Board Members. If you are interested in joining us please email the president below.
Our Facilities
CIVIC CENTER PARK
Most Davis Lacrosse practices will take place at Civic Center Park(Civic Field) in central Davis.

Michael Tobey
12U Boys Coach
"Originally from Miami, Florida, Michael Tobey moved to California in 1998 where he attended and played lacrosse at UCLA. He moved to Davis for his wife to attend UC Davis Veterinary school in 2001 and coached the Davis High Lacrosse team. For the past 20 years, he has worked as a teacher and coach, and he is currently teaching at Harper Junior High. He is excited to return to coaching lacrosse this season for the U10 team for which his son will be playing."
Tim Chorey
12U Girls Coach
Hello, My name is Tim Chorey. I have been playing and coaching lacrosse for the past 25 years. I played lacrosse for the Colorado State University Rams, winning a National Championship in 2003. This is my second season coaching with Davis Lacrosse. Prior to Davis I coached high school club teams ADNC Lacrosse and Laxachusetts. I currently work for the Department of Fish and Wildlife saving Salmon and Steelhead. When not at work or playing lacrosse I enjoy ultrarunning and going on adventures across the West with my family in our 2000 VW."

My name is Sydney Kim. I've played lacrosse for around eight years and am a defender through and through. This will be my second year coaching the 14U team.
I'm currently working in a plant sciences lab on campus studying carbohydrates in almond, walnut and pistachio trees. In my free time, I'm playing board games with friends, bouldering at the gym and trying new recipes.
Tina Yang
14U Girls Coach
My name is Tina Yang. I’m a new U14 coach this year. I have been playing lacrosse for about 7 years. I have played both in goal and on the field.
I currently am a student at UC Davis majoring in economics. I also have played on the club lacrosse team for the school along with helping out as a goalie coach. In my free time I love cooking and hanging out with friends.
